McDougall & Nairn are a small team of specislist Sgian Dubh makers that still belive in words like Heritage, Tradition, Craftsmanship & Quality.  Words often overlooked, or intentionally set aside, in todays mass produced commercialy driven world.

We take the time to source the best of Bristish materials and handcraft in our Edinburgh workshops what we consider to be the best Sgian Dubh's available.  With one customer saying we were the "Rolex" of the Sgian Dubh world.....and well, we will take that! 

Our Sgian Dubhs are often commissioned as gifts for special occasions such as mile stone birthdays (21st's, 30th's, 40th's, 50th's), weddings or anniversaries, or by Scottish corporations for presentation purposes.  They are also sought out by decerning Scotsman simply looking for something uniqe and special to wear with their highland dress - knowing it is of generational quality and will be passed down from father to son or daughter.

We primerily make bespoke sgian dubh to order, however we do try to hold some items in stock for immediate purchase through our web shop.
